Difference between Plants and Animals

Animal and Plant cells both are eukaryotic and multi-cellular. Both are differ because Animal are not prepare own food so for that they move from one place to other, but in case of plant cells they prepare own food so there is no need to move from one place to other place , so animal cell differ from plant cell in cellular organelles ,cell structure and energy requirement .

The main difference between an animal cell and a plant cell is that, plant cells have a cell wall, which is absent in animal . The cell wall which is made up of cellulose ,the plant cell rigid and  in a fixed, rectangular shape. Animal cells lack the rigidity hence, they tend to have a round and irregular shape. Animal cells tend to vary greatly in appearance. The cell wall allows high pressure to build inside of the plant cell without bursting. Due to this, the plant cell is able to accept large amounts of liquid through osmosis without bursting. Animal cells, which only have a thin membrane restricting access to the cell, tend to burst if they absorb too much extra water.

Animal Cells dont have chloroplast ,plant cells have chloroplast its gives green colour to the plant .plant synthesis their own food with the help of chlorophyll ,that process is called photosynthesis.

Animal Cell need more mitochondria than plant cell ,mitochondria produces energy. Animal cells have more mitochondria because they need more energy than plant cells .

Animal cells has more ribosomes than plant cell because animal cells need more proteins .Most of plant building material is forms of glucose made by photosynthesis, For protein synthesis animals have more the ribosomes.

Plant cells occupies more space with vacuoles when animal cells have small size some times vacuole is absent.
Plant cells doesn’t have lysosomes because Plant cells, contain vacuoles, which like the lysosomes in animal cells are membrane-bound vesicles within the cell. Vacuoles  share some properties with lysosomes, both are contain  some hydrolytic enzymes, which means vacuoles are performing the function of a lysosome.

Glyoxysomes are present only plant cells , which in addition to glycolic acid oxidase and catalase also possess a number of enzymes that are not found in animal cells. This organelle, called glyoxysomes are most abundant in plant seedlings, which rely upon stored fatty acids to provide them with the energy and material to begin the formation of a new plant. One of the primary activities in these germinating seedlings is the conversion of stored fatty acids to carbohydrates. This is achieved through a cycle, glyoxylate cycle, the enzymes of which are located in the glyoxysomes. This organelle is present only during a short period in the germination of the lipid-rich seed and is absent in lipid-poor seed such as the pea.
Animal cells are different types than plant cells because ,animal do many functions  compared to plant cells. because animals are bigger in size compared to plants and also because animals have more organs and body parts and plants have less.
Plant cell need starch rather than gulcuse because. The advantages of using insoluble substances such as starch for storage, rather than soluble substances such as glucose.
Starch do not affect the water concentration inside cells.

Plant cells are divided into three types 1.parenchyma cells 2.collenchyma cells 3.sclerenchyma cells. But in case of animals many types of cells are present, in humans 210 distinct type of cells are present in human body.
Plant cells synthesis glucose by using carbon dioxide, in animal cells sugar breakdown in to carbon dioxide and energy in presence of oxygen.
