Chemical bond:
A chemical bond is chemical substances being held together by attraction of atoms to each
other through sharing, as well as exchanging, of electrons -or
electrostatic forces.
Types of chemical bonds:
Ionic bond and covalent bond.
Ionic bond:Ionic bonds result
when electrons are transferred between atoms. The result is the formation
of ions.Ionic bond formed between nonmetal and metal.
Ionic bonds can form between nonmetals and metals

Ionic bonds are formed when the electronegativity difference
(Dc) between the atoms is > 1.7.
Covalent bond:
valence electrons are shared between atoms.covalent bond is a balance between the attractive and repulsive forces between
the atoms which ends up placing electron density between the atoms.covalent bond formed between two nonmetal atoms. Covalent bonds are formed when the electronegativity difference
(Dc) between the atoms is < 1.
If the electrons are not share equally that bond is called polar bond
Localized and Delocalized chemical bond:
LOCALIZED BONDING:
The type of bonding in which bonded electrons are confined between two nuclei is called as localized chemical bonding. Localised electrons stable which present inter nuclear axis .
The type of bonding in which bonded electrons are confined between two nuclei is called as localized chemical bonding. Localised electrons stable which present inter nuclear axis .
DELOCALIZED BONDING:
The type of bonding in which bonded electron spread out on the entire molecule. ion or solid metal that are not associated with a single atom or a covalent bond.
The type of bonding in which bonded electron spread out on the entire molecule. ion or solid metal that are not associated with a single atom or a covalent bond.
Delocalised electrons keep on moving or are unstable as in
metals.Metals conduct electricity due
to delocalised electrons.
